Call for scientific presentations

For the 2014 TriNation meeting, we invite scientists to submit presentations on current research updates on PD, CMS or HSMI. If you are interested in giving a presentation, please forward a title, name of presenter and a short description of the topic (3-4 lines). The presentation should be applicable and focused towards solutions for the industry. Please keep in mind that this is not a scientific conference only for researchers! Proposals should be sent to britt-bang.jensen @ vetinst.no (remove all spaces before mailing). Deadline for submission is  December 15th

The Steering committee will keep the right to reject those presentations that do not fit for the purpose, and you may be offered to give a poster instead.

Draft program for 2014 TriNation meeting

We have now a very preliminary outline of the program planned for the next meeting:

Dates: February 4-5th 2014
Venue: Statens Hus, Trondheim

Day 1:
Morning:

  • Welcome and introduction
  • Updates on PD-, HSMI- and CMS situations from each country

Afternoon 1:

  • Experiences from the industry. Short (10 minutes) presentations from each of the large fish farm companies on how they handle the diseases and what works.
  • Round of discussions

Afternoon 2:

  • How is PD handled by authorities? (The concept behind new legislation in Norway)
  • Updates from medical/feed companies (5-10 minutes each)
  • Round of discussions

 Day 2:

  • Updates on research within PD, CMS and HSMI. Details to be determined based on proposed presentations.
